I seem to be sewing more than knitting this year (thus the added "Crafter"in blog title)..Making lots of machine sewn rag baskets, ..can't seem to stop, (my home has turned into a Studio for Baskets)...several were on display in local library(February 2011)..all fabric used is from recycled clothing etc. from local thrift shop plus my stash.

Started when I purchased the book "It's A Wrap"..(larger photos of baskets displayed below)..

Meandering Rib Scarf

Lion Brand Fishermen's Wool Pattern #70809AD.. The wavy pattern is a great alternative to a normal cable or ribbed scarf..Skill Level: EASY

BIAS SCARF

ROW 1:K1, K into front and back of next stitch. Knit to last 3 sts.;K2tog., K1 (rows 3,5,7,9) ROW 2: Knit(rows 4,6,8,10) Repeat Rows 1-2 for pattern,,,Size 9 needles.. Cast on 22 sts.

Condo Stitch


Garter stitch(knit every row). You alternate rows between small and large needles, resulting in an open and lacy look... Cast On 16sts. knit one row. With larger needles knit one row. Continue alternating needle sizes. Scarf is 60 inches long. Bind Off loosely with smaller needle.
